September is probably my lucky month – I bought another doll 😁 I’ve been trying to hunt an old Barbie doll for some time – it’s not really Barbie, but Vintage Sindy from the English company Pedigree. And I made it, it is quite an old doll (80’s, maybe 70’s), maybe even older than me, it is generally in great condition for those years, only hair has been trimmed unfortunately but I can’t do much here. I was thinking about rerooting, but on the Facebook group devoted to Sindy dolls, I was dissuaded from this idea. This is how my beautiful Sindy looks like:
It is a hybrid made of the body of Active Sindy Ballerina and the head of Sindy Beach Party. Personally, this body suits me very well because it is quite adjustable, bent knees, elbows, wrists, neck or waist – she can even do splits! Surprisingly, the clothes that I sew for Blythe dolls fit her, the tops are a bit tight but generally they fit her. You can buy clothes here and a handbag here.
Overall I really like Sindy visually, she has a very nice face and despite the years, I think that this is one of the best dolls of this type that have been made. I am already planning to buy another Sindy – I liked them so much ☺️
