Tammy and Pepper dolls have been on my wish list for some time. These are old dolls from the 1960s, resembling Sindy, produced by the American company Ideal Toy Company. Touted as “The Doll You Love to Dress Up,” Tammy was portrayed as a young American teenager, more of a “girl next door” than the cosmopolitan image of Mattel’s Barbie or American Character’s Tressy.

I managed to find both dolls in great condition on Mandarake, so of course I bought them 😁 After a few weeks, a parcel from Japan arrived and my joy knew no bounds 😍😜 Of course, I immediately scrubbed the dolls and washed their clothes, which, like the dolls, were in perfect condition. Tammy was wearing a pretty floral dress and a belt, and Pepper was wearing blue and white pajamas. Even though my Tammy and Pepper are about 60 years old, they look great 👏👏👏

Tammy doll is as big as Barbie dolls, but when it comes to dimensions, it is more like the thicker Barbie curvy dolls. When it comes to clothes, the clothes of fatter Barbie dolls fit her. She had to borrow shoes from Blythe because she has bigger feet than Barbie:

As for Pepper doll, her body is similar to a vintage Skipper doll or an older Blythe doll. Wider Blythe clothes and most Barbie clothes fit her because her torso is quite wide:
