Another new doll – this time it is Lori Perla from Maison Battat. It is a mini doll about 15 cm high and is very similar to the Mini American Doll, which I will also have soon 😉 It has a vinyl body, a pretty face and thick, pleasant to the touch hair, the eyes are glass, not painted like Mini American Girl. As for articulation, it is basic – she only bends her arms and legs at the joints and turns her head around. She has a slightly wide torso that doesn’t fit the rest of the body proportionally, my version has a hard torso but I know that there are also dolls with a soft, fabric torso.
The clothes are really well sewn, with attention to detail, the doll even has panties 😉 Lori dolls come in various versions, have different hair and eye colors, you can buy clothes and accessories for them, they are a really nice alternative for smaller girls who don’t like more adult Barbie dolls.
When it comes to clothes, because Lori is so wide in the torso, Middie Blythe’s clothes don’t fit her. I think that Holala doll clothes would fit them, unfortunately I don’t have such a doll in my collection yet, so I can’t check it.
