Some time ago, I saw a strange Blythe doll on my friend’s Instagram – it was smaller than Middie Blythe but larger than Petite Blythe. I did some research and it turned out that it was a Popmart Blythe doll from Hasbro. Of course, I decided to have her and after a short search I managed to find her on Aliexpress in a set with the second Popmart doll – Molly. The parcel arrived relatively quickly and inside there are these wonders:
Each doll has an articulated body, beautiful clothes and shoes, extra hands, a stand, a skateboard, Blythe has a hat, which unfortunately is a bit too small in my opinion, and a bag, and Molly has a headband. The bottom of each stand opens and you can hide something there, e.g. extra hands.
Both dolls are sweet, but they are radically different. Below is a photo of naked girls to compare their bodies – there is also my doll with an obitsu11 body on the right to see the scale of Popmart dolls. Both have articulated bodies and can bend arms, legs, knees, elbows and have interchangeable hands. I tried ob11 / sto doll clothes on them and everything fits beautifully. I think I’ll have to sew something for them 🙂
Here’s Popmart Blythe and Molly in all their glory – aren’t they cute? Molly is more stable and has bigger feet so she can stand on her own, I had to give Blythe a helping hand to make her pose nicely:
