I’ve been thinking about a Qbaby doll for a long time – it has a sweet face and you can paint it yourself. I decided to make myself a Christmas present and bought a cheaper version of Qbaby on Aliexpress. I also bought a wig with a silicone cap for it. The doll has light skin and red hair – I dreamed of a little redhead on the example of Max from Stranger Things 😁 I painted her like I do with Blythe dolls and she looks cute now 🥰

The doll is made of resin and has movable joints connected by rubber bands. The head can be easily opened because it is magnetized and you can place eye sockets with eyeballs or eyelids in it. Unfortunately, the eye sockets and eyelids that I got with the doll do not fit  – they fall out because they are of poor quality – it was to be expected from Aliexpress. So I made her eyeballs myself from modeling clay and chips from Aliexpress, installed them in the sockets I made and now I can change the direction of her gaze whenever I want 😊

I bought her with a larger body – L Fish but she is still shorter than Blythe – she is about 25 cm tall. She is also “fatter” than her, has a childish physique and has no breasts. As I mentioned, it has movable joints connected with rubber bands, but I’m not a fan of such bodies – it’s annoying that these rubber bands “pull” the limbs and sometimes they bend by themselves. On the other hand, Qbaby can stand alone without any support. The clothes I sew for Blythe and other dolls surprisingly fit her, unfortunately the shoes are a problem because she has a bigger foot than Blythe or Barbie. Sneakers from Aliexpress fit, slippers will also come in somehow, but only without socks. The rest of the shoes are too small… Overall, I really like Qbaby and maybe in the future I’ll make dolls like this for sale – as I do now with Blythe 🙂
